Energy Efficient Building with Foster Tech and WMCA
On the road today, so how about a few updates on the Foster Tech/ WMCA project!Started adding sheathing, interior stud walls, drip edge - oh yeah and shoveling! Maine is getting hammered this spring with snow, but everyone is still working! 6 people shovel, 1 person works. Just kidding! But seriously mother nature, enough already!
Mottram Architecture In The Community
As we mentioned previously, we partnered with Western Maine Community Action to bring some high efficiency home building to the community. It's a great program, combined with the students at Foster Tech, that is making this happen. Weather in the winter is always unpredictable, but things are coming together slowly and surely. Not only is a great family getting a great home, the Foster Tech students are learning hands on building and energy skills that are invaluable for the future of building and the community we live in!Stay tuned for more updates!
In The Community with Mottram Architecture
I'm pleased to report that the Community Home Replacement Program's first project has started off extremely well given our late start into the building season!It was our pleasure to participate in this project and kick it off with a "Ground Breaking" ceremony held last week on December 7, 2016. There is so much local community support for this project all the way from residents though great companies like Hammond Lumber and Matthew's Brothers!But most of all, I'm thrilled that the kids at Foster Tech will be involved in this project.
