E3 - Energy and Efficiency with Emily is a podcast dedicated to energy efficient home building in cold climate areas of New England. This week we invited the Executive Director of PassivHaus Maine to join us on the podcast and talk about what they do and how we can incorporate training into the built environment to reach our 2050 climate goals.

Mission: PassivhausMAINE is a non-profit organization committed to decreasing carbon emissions, dependency on fossil fuels and the costs for winter heating in Maine. It works to support the passive house industry and community in Maine, North America and internationally.

phME is a proud member of NESEA , MANP, and E2tech. Globally, there are numbers of institutions and organisations which are tackling various aspects of building science and contribute to lowering our energy needs and carbon emissions. phME supports all contributions to the collective advancement of building science and energy/carbon reduction in our built environment. phME hosts and supports trainings by NAPHN, PHIUS and PHI

Naomi Beal is the Executive Director of passivhausMAINE [phME] and a founding and current board member of the North American Passive House Network. As a founding member of phME, she embraces the challenge of developing phME into a sustainable organisation through local, national and international partnerships. Naomi believes Maine’s economic development can be fostered through a framework of building efficiency and innovative and traditional wood products. She lives in South Freeport, ME.
