For the first time in 2013, Emily walked in the 50 mile, 3 day National MS Challenge Walk. Emily will continue to support the MS foundation until a cure for MS can be found. She participated in the National MS Challenge Walk in September of 2013, 2014, and 2015. Emily’s team has raised nearly $50,000 in the last three years to support MS Research and those living with MS. This cause is near and dear to Emily and we hope you will consider checking it out and donating to her fundraising efforts.
What is MS:
Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. Today, new treatments and advances in research are giving new hope to people affected by the disease.
